A New Hire Signing Bonus of $300 is offered for this position

Signing bonuses will be paid in two installments. The first installment of $100 will be paid once you have completed 30 days of employment. The second installment of $200 will be paid after successfully completing 90 days of employment with KECO. Only externals (not rehires and/ or transfers) are eligible for bonus. To be awarded a signing bonus, a successful candidate must have no attendance infractions or any other performance write ups in those 90 days.

The Position:

Based on the production schedule, the material handler position is responsible for staging material at the work centers. They are to ensure the kanban’s are filled. This position is accountable for storing material in the correct location based on inventory control standards. The material handler will load and unload pallets, pull materials from shelves, and move items from warehouse to production. They will ensure production areas are fully stocked and have the materials they need to meet production schedules and fulfill orders to meet customers' demands—the importance of maintaining inventory counts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pull and stage Kanban carts following assembly processes.
• Follow inspection procedures.
• Perform warehouse and shipping order pulling and stocking functions.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of parts.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
• Time Management Skills
• Ability to count and measure.
• Ability to operate machinery such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
• Play a role in inventory control.
• Communicate any inventory issues to the leader to be resolved immediately.
• Safely load and unloads material using forklifts and other moving equipment from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.
• Safety/5S

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience and knowledge of assembly lead practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math skill
• Familiarity with assembly drawings, bill of materials, and assembly/production methodology.
• Ability to operate machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Capable of working a consistent 8-hr schedule, dependent on shift assignment, with up to 1 hour of overtime required each day
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
